Socially Intelligent Combat Air Simulator

چکیده
We are exploring teaming in complex and dynamic environments that requires reasoning about roles and social influences. Towards that end we describe our implemented testbed and experiments that empirically show effects of such reasoning in a team setting.

Fuzzy Model of Human’s Performance for Guarding a Territory in an Air Combat
This paper proposes a new method for a three dimensional fuzzy model of pilot's performance for guarding a territory with a short-distance between two aircraft in an air combat task with a gun. A third-order nonlinear point mass vehicle model is considered for an aircraft's flight dynamics. The desired value of the velocity, the flight path and the heading angles are obtained from some derived ...

Accurately modeling uncontrolled agents (or recognizing their behavior and intentions) is critical to planning and acting in a multi-agent environment. However, behavior recognition systems are only as good as their observations. Here we argue that acting, even acting at random, can be a critical part of gathering those observations. Furthermore, we claim that acting intelligently via automated...

Situation Assessment in Air-combat: a Fuzzy-bayesian Hybrid Approach
In modern air combat operations, the mental workload for fighter pilots is extremely high. The pilot has to make fast dynamic decisions under high uncertainty and high time pressure. This is hard to perform in Within Visual Range (WVR) combat operations, but becomes even harder in Beyond Visual Range (BVR) combat operations where the on-board sensors of aircraft become the pilot's eyes and ears...
